Job Description:

Seeking motivated, responsible, detail-oriented individuals that are interested in learning more about Veterinary Medicine in a research setting. Individuals will be responsible for the daily clinical support of a canine colony in addition to husbandry, enrichment, as well as assisting with breeding and whelping. Individuals will be expected to feed, administer medicine, perform basic housekeeping tasks, groom, train, and provide occasional puppy care. Some other tasks may include collecting biological and tissue specimens for diagnostic evaluations, record keeping and other routine veterinary procedures.

Hours vary from early morning to late evening including weekends and holidays. Student schedules are taken into consideration and oftentimes easily accommodated.

Prerequisites include previous work with animals and knowledge of basic husbandry. Preferred experience specifically with canine handling, restraint and clinical care.
