Director of Student Transitions and Family Programs

Coastal Carolina University is currently accepting applications for the following position: Director of Student Transitions and Family Programs (Student Services Manager I) in the Office of Student Life.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: oversee all family programs; develop and implement a comprehensive family engagement plan which includes programming and communication using multiple modalities; create and follow a progressive master plan of strategic involvement of parents and families with the CCU community; develop and implement all orientation programs; assist in the hiring, training, assessing, and supervision of the Orientation student staff; supervise professional and student staff within the office;
manage all budgets; responsible for overseeing the Orientation, CINO TIE Welcome Week, and Family Programs budgets; conduct a yearly assessment of all aspects of the orientation, transition, and family programs; serve as a resource for all new students and their family members; complete all other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements: Master’s degree and at least three (3) years of related experience are required. Master’s degree in College Student Personnel or related area; direct experience with orientation, transition, and/or family programs; and a general understanding of student development and transition issues are preferred. Additionally, a successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively both orally and written and have a commitment to diversity and inclusive excellence.

Required Qualifications:
