Develop and implement evidence-based strategies to support the retention and graduation of students from marginalized and underrepresented backgrounds and identities. Collaborate with campus partners in Student Affairs, Academic Affairs, and Enrollment Management to ensure a strong campus-wide network of support to enhance the success of diverse student learners.Serve as a liaison to the Office of Admission to support the recruitment of students from marginalized and underrepresented backgrounds and identities.Develop programs and services that develop culturally relevant leadership and advance social justice.Advocate on behalf of all diverse student learners and identity-based student organizations on campus.Advance BU|BeWell through coordinating Dawg Days, the Morton-Finney Leadership Program, and other initiatives to support the successful transition of students to the Butler community.Ensure the Efroymson Diversity Center is an inclusive and welcoming campus resource for all students, faculty, and staff.Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:
The successful candidate should be a collaborative, innovative leader with a fierce commitment to supporting students from marginalized and underrepresented backgrounds and identities. A master’s degree in student affairs, higher education, or related field is required, as is a minimum of 5 years of full-time experience working with college students to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion.
The successful candidate will possess the following professional qualifications and personal characteristics: Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusionAbility to establish and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships Experience working directly with students from marginalized and underrepresented backgrounds and identities Demonstrated success developing programs and services to support the belonging and success of diverse student learnersExperience advising student organizations and providing opportunities for leadership developmentProven ability to build and maintain effective partnerships with facultyDemonstrated understanding of college student developmentExperience implementing strategies to advance belonging and success for diverse student learners at Predominantly White Institutions (PWIs)Experience with and a strong desire to have a high level of engagement with studentsHighly developed skills in program development and assessmentCreative, innovative, collaborative, glass half full, can-do attitude!
