Nature of Work:

The Shuttle Driver will provide shuttle service for Coastal Place Apartments. The Shuttle Driver will be supervised by the Residence Hall Director.

Essential Duties:

Shuttle Driver and Administrative Responsibilities

  • Deliver meals to residents out at Coastal Place Apartments between 11am-12pm and 5pm-6pm, 7 days a week.
  • Drive the shuttle between CCGA main Brunswick campus and Coastal Place Apartments.
    - Pick up meals on time from Mariner’s Galley and return meal storage containers back to Mariner’s Galley.
  • Communicate any issues with the shuttle to the Residence Hall Director.
  • Ensure the shuttle stays clean and inform the Residence Hall Director if additional cleaning is needed
  • Develop and employ appropriate time management and organizational skills.
  • Check emails frequently and respond promptly (within 24-48 hours).
  • Effectively use the housing information system (StarRez) to serve the students and hall staff.
    - Assume other responsibilities as designated by the Residence Hall Director

  • Be a valued member of the team by treating others with respect and working to uphold the mission, vision, and values of the College and Office of Residence Life and Housing.
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with all members of the residential community, including maintenance staff.
    - Maintain a high level of ethical standards and always display a positive attitude.
  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the position.
  • Be a helpful resource to others.
  • Contribute to the Residence Life and Housing team and share the workload.
  • Communicate respectfully while sharing and receiving feedback.

Responding to Student Issues

  • Update the Residence Hall Director of any concerns and/or issues brought up while working in the shuttle
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Leader

  • Act as a positive role model for the residents, the Office of Residence Life and Housing, and the College both on and off campus.
  • Develop a strong sense of time management, including how to successfully integrate academic, professional, and social responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications and Training:

  • Must be enrolled in six credit hours.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must be available between 11am-12pm and 5pm-6pm, 7 days a week
  • Must pass a criminal background check and a drug test
  • Must pass a motor vehicle background check
  • Must not have any other jobs on campus during employment

Preferred Qualifications and Training:

  • Currently living on campus
  • An applicant who is organized, detail oriented, and punctual
  • Ability to climb steps and carry bags of food
  • Ability to effectively communicate
  • Ability to accept and follow directions
