The Department of Family and Community Medicine at UTRGV School of Medicine is seeking a full time Physician for a medical school affiliated Family Medicine Residency Program. The incumbent must maintain an educational environment conducive to education residents in each of the ACGME competencies areas, will oversee and ensure the quality of didactic and clinical education in all site that participate in the program. Applicant is expected to maintain a clinical practice, supervise residents, and teach medical students. Selected candidate will also supervise Advanced Practice providers at retail clinics. Academic rank will be awarded commensurate with academic experience and credentials. Academic rank will be awarded with experience and credentials.
Minimum QualificationsCurrent Board certification by the American Board of Family Medicine, possess a valid Texas medical license, qualified to hold a faculty appointment in the Department of Family and Community Medicine and an appropriate staff appointment. Demonstration of strong commitment to the education of residents and medical students and a comprehensive understanding and ability in educational and evaluation methods. Knowledge of RRC requirements and demonstrated success with outcomes in resident education. Experience in managing diverse relationships and integration activities with medical staff. A strong reputation for sustained inclusive, trust-based physician relations.
