  • Position Description

    Will perform theoretical/computational astrophysics research with Dr. Eli Visbal on topics of mutual scientific interest. Topics may include the formation of the first stars, supermassive black holes in the early universe, and/or a new technique to observe galaxies known as “galaxy intensity mapping”.



    PhD in Physics or Astronomy

    Experience running and analyzing numerical simulations

    Communication and other skills:

    Demonstrated ability to publish scientific papers

    Ability to communicate research results through talks at scientific conferences

    Ability to work effectively with PI, graduate students, and undergraduate students




    Working Conditions:This position will involve working on a computer at Ritter Observatory and travelling to conferences and scientific meetings (domestic and/or international meetings).
