Position:Geography - Adjunct Faculty Department:Geography Starting Salary:$585.26 a lecture unit Details:Lake Tahoe Community College (LTCC) is seeking adjunct instructors to teach in the Geography department.Adjunct Instructors are categorized as part-time, contracted faculty teaching assigned courses on a quarter or annual basis. Part-time faculty positions do not exceed 67% of a full-time faculty member's load.Applicant will secure and maintain home internet access during the duration of their employment to ensure regular and consistent contact with students. Adjunct faculty teaching in a virtual environment at LTCC will be responsible for their own basic Canvas training.See salary schedule 15-00 Part-Time Academic for compensation information. Preferred start date:01/06/2021 Representative Duties:Under the direction of the Dean of Instruction, teach assigned courses in the Geography discipline's curriculum specificalyHuman Geography:
- This course provides a systematic topical study of human activities and their influence upon the landscape. Principle topics will include a study of world population, migration, language, religion, agriculture, industrialization, urbanization, political units, and resource utilization.
- Master’s in geography
- OR Bachelor’s in geography AND Master’s in geology, history, meteorology or oceanography
- OR the equivalent
