Job Details

Responsibilities

Will teach certificate-level masonry courses that include safety, job estimating, blueprint reading, basic building codes, block & brick, wall construction, and bonding methods. Class responsibilities include but are not limited to lecture and lab instruction, monitoring student progress, supervise student projects, curriculum development, attendance, and other specific duties that support student learning and college mission and vision. Instructor will be teaching 15 to 20 inmate/students, at the Arizona State Prison - Winslow Complex. Position is supported and funded through Arizona Department of Corrections with a consistent and long history of contract renewal. Position is full time - 12 months per year.

Please note:This position is contingent and dependent upon the reopening of DOC prisons. The final candidate will be required to complete a DOC background verification based upon this contingency. Completion of the DOC background verification and a contingent job offer does not guarantee the fulfillment of this position as unforeseen situations may impact the availability of the position.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS: The knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform this job include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Minimum Qualifications: Five years of full-time occupational experience and possession of or willingness to obtain certification and/or license, or other credentials required by industry specific trade and/or state of employment.
  • Special Position Condition: Applicant must be able to pass and maintain Arizona Department of Corrections security clearance.
SALARY: Entry salary is $58,734.00. Placement above the minimum may be considered up to $69,438 dependent upon education and experience.
