Job Summary

The Student Development Specialist is responsible for assisting students with the college enrollment process and orienting students to college policies, procedures, resources, and technology. This position helps facilitate student learning to ensure students are successful in navigating the complexities of the enrollment process from admission through graduation. The Student Development Specialist builds relationships with students, engages them in the community of JCCC, and connects students with resources as needed.

Required Qualifications

-Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field
-Attention to detail, interpersonal communication skills, critical thinking skills and the ability to maintain the confidentiality of student information is required.
-General computer, data entry, and web knowledge

-Experience working with college students
