Job Summary

This position is responsible for assisting with the orientation programing for incoming students.

Major Duties

• Attend and participate in training sessions
• Be actively involved in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of Orientation sessions
• Be a point of contact between prospective students and GSC before, during, and after orientation sessions
• Welcome new students and families to the college, assist with orientation check-in process, facilitate guided tours, lead small group activities, and participate in presentations (on-stage or off-stage) during orientation sessions
• Assist various GSC departments and offices as needed

  Minimum Requirements

• Be a full-time, degree seeking undergraduate student and completed 12 credit hours at Gordon State College
• Be in good academic and judicial standing with GSC; minimum 2.5 GPA
• Must complete the application and references by January 22, 2021

  Compensation

• $8.00 Per hour
• Free Housing in the residence halls for the summer
• May take 1 summer class at a time, if it does not interfere with orientation sessions
