Job Description:

Saybrook University is seeking a Community Education and Engagement Specialist (FWS) to provide support to the Director of University Relations and President’s Office in advancing community partnerships, focusing on education, training, and outreach that supports the health and well-being of the community.

Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate Anti-Racism Collaboration initiatives, meetings and/or events as needed.
  • Drive anti-racist research and archiving of community records, testimonials, and related educational materials (articles, podcasts, and video links) to support YWCA 21-Day Racial Equity Challenge.
  • Social Media Assistance (content, posting, etc.)
  • Community Events Coordination
  • Community Outreach (Calls, mailings, etc.)
  • Manage Saybrook Serves registrations
  • Micro Credential database management

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Knowledge of Office 365 (word, excel, power point and outlook)
  • Social Media knowledge (e.g. Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter)
  • Student must be eligible for FWS

Position Qualifications:

  • Must be currently enrolled at Saybrook University and eligible for FWS
  • Exceptional ability to manage time and handle multiple tasks and priorities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong ability to manage social media websites
  • Able to work independently and as in a team as well
  • Completes tasks in a professional and timely manner

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs
  • Must be able to bend and reach out to files and boxes
  • Ability to perform sedentary work
  • Ability to operate office equipment including computer, printers, and phone
