Full-time Faculty Positions

Part-time Faculty Positions

DePaul University invites expressions of interest for a pool of qualified Part Time Faculty to teach courses in a variety of disciplines across all 10 colleges and schools. Individuals may enter expressions of interest by submitting their credentials to any posting for which they are qualified to teach. Postings are organized by college/school and department. Screening of individuals in the pool is ongoing, depending on curricular need and funding. Individuals will be contacted by the department if they reach the finalist stage for teaching a particular course or set of courses. The pool will remain in place until the closing date specified in the posting details; those interested in remaining in the pool beyond that time must resubmit. All individuals in the pool will be notified by email when the posting is closed.

DePaul University Speech Language Pathology Program invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor to begin July 1, 2021. This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative and energetic scholar, who has the vision to create a meaningful impact on the college, university and community, to collaborate with the program director and faculty in developing our new program at DePaul.

The successful candidate will possess experience and expertise in the areas of adult neurogenic communication disorders and/or dysphagia. Responsibilities include teaching, clinical supervision, research and service to the department and university. This is a 12-month appointment. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications.

The Speech Language Pathology Program at DePaul University anticipates welcoming their inaugural cohort of student into their M.S. Program in the Fall of 2021. The program is located in the heart of Chicago at the Lincoln Park campus.

The College of Science and Health is the third largest college at DePaul, enrolling over 3,000 students. The college includes programs in mathematics, psychology, physics and astrophysics, environmental science and studies, chemistry and biochemistry, biology, neuroscience, health sciences and nursing. Required Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Doctorate Degree in Speech Language Pathology or a related field (A strong ABD candidate would be considered);
  • ASHA CCC-SLP certification;
  • Licensure, or eligible for licensure, in Illinois;
  • Demonstrated record of scholarship and potential for excellent teaching and service. To be considered for Associate professor rank, a demonstrated record of scholarship, and/or service to the profession as a faculty member in an accredited SLP program

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Expertise in adult neurogenic communication disorders and/or dysphagia;
  • College or graduate level teaching experience;
  • Familiarity with CAA accreditation standards.
