Campus Safety Officers - part-time

Job description

St. Norbert College, a nationally-ranked, private, Catholic, liberal arts college is seeking two part-time Campus Safety Officers. One of the positions will work (2) ten hour shifts, every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The other position will work (2) eight hour shifts per week from 6:00 p.m. - 2:00 a.m. (every Wednesday and switching back and forth between Thursdays and Saturdays).

Campus Safety Officers promote lawful behavior and protect the welfare of the students, faculty and staff as a uniformed presence on campus. Campus Safety operates twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, ensuring the safety of the campus community as well as visitors, conference attendees, church members, and guests of the Kress Inn, our hotel on campus. Campus Safety Officers monitor the physical safety of campus buildings and grounds by locking and unlocking doors, patrolling and monitoring, using surveillance cameras, managing alarm/fire systems, responding to suspicious behavior and reporting to local law enforcement as appropriate. Additionally, Campus Safety Officers perform foot and vehicle patrols to monitor behavior, secure buildings and property, investigate disturbances, maintain order during events and enforce regulations.
