DescriptionRegular Full-time, Pay Grade 38  (Temporary)
This position supports the instructional design efforts of the Center for Agriculture and Food Security and Preparedness (CAFSP) by working closely with the curriculum team to edit e-learning content using Captivate 2019.

Job Functions/Responsibilities:

Supports CAFSP instructional designers by editing e-learning content using Captivate 2019. Edits e-learning screens and narrations. Adheres to best practices for ensuring Section 508 accessibility standards are met in web screen design.

Suggests strategies for updating and enhancing e-learning courses.


QualificationsREQUIREMENTS:
Education:Bachelor's degree required.
Required level/type of experience:Minimum of 5 years' experience designing, developing, and delivering instruction and training, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and demonstrated knowledge and experience is required.

Preferred knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Basic understanding of accessibility and Universal Design principles. Intermediate copy-editing skills.

Competencies/Qualifications:
Understanding of instructional design and instructional technologies. Strong communication skills (verbal and written). Good problem-solving skills. Strong skills in Captivate 2019 software. Intermediate graphic editing skills. Ability to follow directions. Ability to meet tight deadlines. Ability to develop and design online curricula. Ability to test the functionality, usability, and accessibility of courses. Ability to work independently.
