St. Charles Community College is located just west of St. Louis, nestled in the heart of growing St. Charles County. Established in 1986, SCC is a public, comprehensive two-year community college offering associate degrees and certificate programs in the arts, business, sciences and career-technical fields. SCC also provides workforce training and community-based personal and professional development as well as cultural, recreational and entertainment opportunities.SCC seeks a full-time Manager - Office of Multicultural Student Engagement (OMSE) to develop and implement a comprehensive program of recruitment, support, development, retention and graduation planning for underrepresented and/or underserved students in the greater St. Charles Community College Service Area and campuses. The Manager develops and maintains departmental budgets, supervises staff in the OMSE, provides/directs/refers to other professional staff all aspects of direct service to students, and assesses and maintains efficient and effective operating procedures, including ensuring appropriate use of technology, and the delivery of optimal services to students.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. - Develops and implements a comprehensive system of recruitment, support, development, retention and graduation planning that meets the needs of underrepresented and underserved students and is directly linked to the College's Strategic Plan and supports the College's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Plan.Develops a comprehensive system of student tracking for underrepresented and underserved students who are in the program.Provides direct service to underrepresented and underserved students in terms of recruitment, support, advising for retention and academic success, personal development, and graduation planning.Creates and maintains significantly positive relationships with all community partners who could direct underrepresented and underserved students to the College.Collaborates with other divisions on campus in the development of programming and support activities that will benefit underrepresented and underserved students. In collaboration with the Vice President for Student Services, develops and maintains department budgets, files, and procedures related to the department(s).
