Job Description
This position is responsible for applying processes and procedures while applying policy and professional skills in the operations of the Delivery Services Department, which includes mail services, receiving and delivery of goods, inventory and surplus sales. This position applies current procedures and processes to ensure Delivery Services is responsible and accountable to college customers and college administration. This position helps to ensure that accurate records are kept, and college assets and surplus equipment are accounted for. This position ensures policies are followed, reviews analyses of inventory, surplus and postage account data, and provides recommendations on changes to program functions ensuring that overall goals and objectives are met.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college/university Or: Associate's degree from a regionally accredited college or university with at least 1 year experience indelivery services, asset management, inventory, surplus sales or other related field or any combination. Or: No college degree with at least 6 years experience indelivery services, asset management, inventory, surplus sales or other related field or any combination.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with NSHE Board of Regents Policy
  • Knowledge of receiving and mail service concepts
  • Strong customer support and communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and group communication skills. Excellent oral and written skills
  • Knowledge of NSHE insurance requirements
  • Willingness to regularly interact with internal and external customers
  • Familiarity with asset tracking systems and inventory
  • Familiarity with Purchasing and Asset Accounting processes with regards to equipment
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse group of individuals in a manner that contributes to building and maintaining an effective and cohesive work team
  • Familiarity with United States Postal Services and Federal Express guidelines
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word
  • Ability to create spreadsheets and reports
  • Ability to analyze problem situations, identify feasible solutions and present recommendations in a concise, logical and systematic manner
  • Ability to use automated postage machines and warehouse equipment
  • Ability to drive a state Motor Pool Vehicle
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
