Associate Vice President, Human Resources and Institutional EquityHuman Resources and Institutional Equity

Location: New Orleans, LA


Reporting to the vice president and deputy chief operating officer, the associate vice president, human resources and institutional equity (AVP) is responsible for leading the organization in the design, development, and implementation of programs, services, and systems according to established standards and metrics as well as insuring productive business partnerships with university constituents. This includes the leadership management of the following areas: Benefits, Compensation, Employee Engagement, Employee Relations, HR Accounting, HR Information Systems, Institutional Equity, Learning and Organizational Development, Payroll, Records, and Talent Acquisition. As a positive, contributing member of the Human Resources & Institutional Equity (HR&IE) executive leadership team, the AVP ensures continuous improvement of HR&IE processes and procedures and works collaboratively with leadership team members to set and achieve the strategic direction of HR&IE.

Required Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 15 years of diverse human resources experience in positions of increasing responsibility from individual contributor positions to senior management and leadership positions.

Preferred Qualifications

An advanced degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.
