Student Account Representative-Core Program - Student Account Services

Position Summary:

The purpose of this position is to process billing for core programs.

Reporting Relationships:

This position reports to the Billing Supervisor.

Education Requirements:

Associates degree required or work equivalent.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1.Process billing for all registrations and registration changes.

a.Confirm accuracy of all billing.

b.Run the billing process when needed to correct or add charges.

c.Prepare and mail statements/letters as deemed necessary in requesting payments due.

d.Track student accounts throughout their program to ensure timely payments, refunds, or handoff to collection.

2.Review and process multiple reports on a daily basis, determining and taking needed followup action.

3.Conduct all processes in accordance with applicable state and federal regulations.

4.Advise students regarding account status.

5.Provide timely customer service to students and university departments.

a.Phone - receive transferred calls from customer service, and assist customer service with answering incoming calls as needed.


c.In person

6.Serve as back-up for all core program Student Account Representatives.

7.Perform other duties as assigned by the Coordinator of Billing or Director of Billing.

    Ability to work accurately with attention to detail and numbers.

    Computer skills, primarily with Excel and web based programs.
    Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
