Indiana Wesleyan University invites applications for a Criminal Justice faculty position on its residential campus in Marion, IN.Our Criminal Justice Department is housed within the Division of Behavioral Sciences, which is home to five majors: criminal justice, psychology, social work, addictions counseling, and pre-art therapy, as well as a minor in sociology.We have 14 full-time faculty members and approximately 350 majors.We are a team of professionals committed to serving our students and helping each other grow.

The successful candidate must be dedicated to liberal learning and the integration of faith and learning within a Wesleyan Christian perspective.Applicants who bring diverse ethnic, racial, and gender perspectives to their teaching and scholarship are strongly encouraged to apply.

Start date will be fall 2021.


Reports to the Chair of the Division of Behavioral Sciences and the Dean of the School of Physical and Applied Sciences.


Candidates should possess or be in pursuit of a terminal degree in Criminal Justice or a closely related field.Those who bring diverse perspectives to their teaching and scholarship, as well as those with practitioner experience in the field are preferred.


Job responsibilities include teaching courses within the Criminal Justice major; coordinating the Criminal Justice Department and curriculum; advising and mentoring students within the program; and serving on assigned divisional and university committees. Research and participation/leadership in state and national professional organizations are expected and supported by the division and university.

·Practitioner experience in criminal justice (preferred)

·At least one year of teaching experience (preferred)
