Job Description

The Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering Department at the University of Missouri (MU) invites applications for a non-tenure track, teaching faculty position at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Teaching Professor level. Applications are sought from candidates with expertise in the traditional mechanical engineering and aerospace engineering disciplines, including: 1) Design and Manufacturing, 2) Dynamics and Controls, 3) Materials, and 4) Thermal-Fluid Sciences. Special attention will be given to candidates that can teach aerospace engineering courses in the fluids area such as Aerodynamics, Compressible Flow, and Computational Fluid Dynamics.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications require a doctoral degree awarded in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering or a related field. Successful applicants will have a record of exemplary teaching performance, appropriate to the level of the appointment.
