The Clinical Laboratory Science program at the University of Missouri invites applications for a full-time, 9-month Assistant Clinical Professor position with administrative site coordinator responsibilities. Occasional program-related responsibilities during the summer would earn additional funds to supplement the 9-month salary.


Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree and the American Society for Clinical Pathology Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist certification credential with at least one year of experience in clinical/medical laboratory science.

Candidates will be evaluated on their achievement of a Master’s degree, a history of effective teaching in clinical/medical laboratory science and an excellent reputation in clinical/medical laboratory science.

The University of Missouri Clinical Laboratory Science (MU CLS) program is a well-established partnership with the NAACLS-accredited University of Nebraska Medical Center’s Medical Laboratory Science program. The MU CLS program emphasizes teaching excellence resulting in highly sought-after graduates with a consistently high pass rate on national board exams. This program includes clinical experiences in Hematology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Blood Bank, Molecular Pathology, Urinalysis, Toxicology, and Endocrinology. The Clinical Laboratory Science program is one of five programs in the Clinical & Diagnostic Sciences Department, which values a collegial environment that supports the intellectual and professional growth of students and faculty. The Clinical & Diagnostic Sciences Department is one of seven departments within the School of Health Professions, a rapidly expanding school within the University of Missouri.


Salary for the 9-month appointment will be commensurate with clinical and educational experience.
