Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced research scientist to join the Faculty of newly formed Center for Immunomodulation and Translational Research (CITR) in the Department of Child Health at the Assistant, Associate, or full Research Professor rank. This recruitment seeks investigators with demonstrated expertise in the development and application of viral and bacterial vectors for targeted delivery and expression of biologics for immunomodulation with particular emphasis on autoimmunity - type 1 diabetes being the major focus - transplantation, vaccine development, and cancer immunoprevention and therapy. Candidates with strong academic achievements, publications, and track record of peer-reviewed funding are encouraged to apply. The new recruitment represents an exciting opportunity to build an interdisciplinary team in CITR as it embarks on bold approaches to develop therapeutics for indications of unmet medical needs. The University of Missouri houses medical, veterinary medicine, agriculture, engineering, nursing, and health professions schools, all on the same campus with unprecedented opportunities for partnerships across multiple disciplines. CITR will be housed in the newly-built NextGen Precision Health Institute with state-of-the-art equipment and excellent infrastructure, including state-of-the-art vivarium for rodents and large animals, and outstanding core facilities capable of performing all forms of omics and imaging.
