CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT INSTRUCTOR
Full-time position, responsible for teaching and advising students in the Associate of Applied Science (AAS) Construction Management program in the Division. Ability to teach a variety of courses in the program including, but not limited to, Introduction to Construction Methods and Practices Construction Materials, Basic Estimating, Print Reading, Auto CAD Applications in Construction Management, BIM, Project Management, Building Systems and Safety. Further ability to teach courses in the areas of Green Building, LEED and Renewable Energy related courses highly desirable. The teaching assignment may include early morning or late afternoon/evening classes and could include online teaching as well. Additional duties will include, development and planning of program curriculum, assessment and program evaluation, organizing and conducting advisory meetings in support of the program, help with recruiting adjunct faculty and assisting with program recruitment and marketing.Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Construction Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or appropriate related technical field from an accredited institution.
Bachelor’s degree holders: Minimum of 4 years full-time US commercial or industrial and/or residential construction industry experience with increasing levels of responsibility, culminating in a project management position. Bachelor’s degree with PE and Architect Registration highly desirable.
Master’s degree holders: Minimum of 2 years full-time US commercial or industrial and/or residential construction industry experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
Previous teaching experience preferred. Will consider recent University or College graduate with appropriate educational qualification and work experience. Will consider Associate degree in Engineering Technology with emphasis on Construction Management/Renewable Energy and 4,000 hours of hands-on work related experience.
