Job Summary:
Medical Assistant needed to assist at the front deskwith our patients checking in and out and also triaging for thosepatients. Also, needed to assist physicians and staff in thedelivery of patient care as directed by the following:established methods, procedures, and standards. Under minimalsupervision, utilizes a systematic approach to patient care delivery,incorporating the following: assessment, planning, implementation,and evaluation.

Environmental Hazards:
Possible exposure to hazardous material, hot and cold, blood borne pathogens.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry 8-10 pounds, stoop, reach, stand, walk, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Education & Experience

Position Qualifications:

Required:
- Current Registered Medical Assistant/Certified Medical Assistant/Licensed Practical Nurse licensure required in the state of OK by an accredited school of nursing/medical assisting.
- Certification or Vocational/Technicaleducation
- Six (6) months of clinical experience required unless internship completed inthe OSU clinic system.
- Valid Oklahoma Driver License Required;
- Current CPR certification required.

Skills, Proficiencies, and Knowledge:
Skill in delivery of patient care and procedures; Medication administration,triage experience, direct patient care. Knowledge of medical terminology.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Computer literacy required.Ability to learn new processes, tools, and equipment as required.

Oklahoma State University-Center for Health Sciences was founded in 1972 and is home to the College of Osteopathic Medicine, as well as graduate programs in forensics, biomedicine, healthcare and athletic training.   Our core business is education; and it takes more than 500 faculty and staff members to run our institution.  Our mission is to educate and train osteopathic physicians, research scientists and other healthcare professionals with an emphasis on serving rural and underserved Oklahomans.  We offer more than 10 different specialty clinics to care for patients in the area.
