Position Description:
Venture Consultant & Outreach Coordinator works under the supervision of Executive Director of Entrepreneurial Programs to provide venture consulting to UCLA community and accelerate the outreach and engagement of Startup UCLA with UCLA community (students, faculty, staff, alumni, etc.). This position is a member of Startup UCLA team working cohesively together to advance Startup UCLA's mission.

Major duties include providing invaluable consulting and referral services for student entrepreneurs by using Blackstone LaunchPad consulting philosophy; promoting Startup UCLA programs across campus and exploring strategic partnerships with UCLA offices, programs, and student groups; creating and presenting workshops to help entrepreneurs develop their ideas; working with community members to develop co-sponsored events to enhance outreach and engagement; and, special projects as assigned.

This part-time position (up to 17 hours/week) provides a high level of direct customer service to students, faculty, staff, and on-campus partners.
This position requires scheduling flexibility with the ability to work evenings and weekends as needed. Candidates need to be willing to adjust the work schedule accordingly.

The Startup UCLA unit is under the Division of Undergraduate Education and currently has two co-curricular programs: Summer Accelerator and Blackstone LaunchPad powered by Techstars. These programs provide entrepreneurial resources to students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Venture Consultant & Outreach Coordinator supports the mission of Startup UCLA including core values focused on student success, diversity and inclusion, an inquiry-based and experiential learning approach, being a community partner, and promoting interdisciplinary efforts across campus.
