This role will support, maintain, and develop in-house, web-based (and related) applications including PHP & Javascript. Applications developed and maintained are public facing with high availability required. Position will also be responsible for some Linux system server administration.

The Application Developer will join the COM Technical Operations team and may have additional technical duties within the facility including providing periodic assistance to students and faculty.

Candidates should have experience in PHP, Python, Postgre, MySQL, JavaScript, and other web centric languages.

This position requires an on-site presence.

Required Skills

B.A./B.S., comprehensive experience with video formats, codecs, transcoding, scripting workflows, etc., maintain Open Directory services, databases, and user level Apple, Adobe, and Avid applications,proficient in Apple, PC and Linux platforms, administer critical college-wide services such as Final Cut Server, WebCheckOut and Princeton Media servers, proficient in Final Cut Studio, Avid Express, Adobe Creative Suite, Apples operating systems, Linux, PC and Final CutServer, must be able to prioritize and switch tasks quickly, be able to work with non-technical users and possess the ability to explain technical concepts in simplified terms and three to five years of related experience
