Job Summary:

An employee in this classification performs work of moderate difficulty to develop, implement, track and optimize digital marketing strategies across digital channels. submit a portfolio or example of a digital marketing campaign they worked on. Work is distinguished by the ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders to create, execute and track results for multi-channel marketing plans. By working directly with web services, marketing, and communications, content and creative services and external vendor/s to drive a full spectrum of digital marketing campaigns that impact institutional goals and priorities. Direction is received from the assigned manager.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  1. Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university in communications, marketing, advertising or a closely related field, with 5 – 7 years of full time experience in digital marketing in an agency or in-house setting and creating multi-channel marketing plans or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Considerable knowledge of digital marketing and student/customer acquisition, current tactics and best practices on execution, tracking and measurement
  3. Considerable knowledge of web analytics.
  4. Considerable knowledge of SEO standards and strategy and improving paid and organic search results
  5. Considerable knowledge of optimizing campaigns and bid strategy according to campaign goals
  6. Considerable knowledge of content strategy development and execution within digital and traditional marketing channels.
  7. Good knowledge of AP and writing in brand voice within different mediums.
  8. Good knowledge of the latest trends in paid search (branded and non-branded) and digital advertising.
  9. Considerable skill with digital marketing strategies (email, paid social media, Google AdWords/search, streaming, retargeting, landing page/s, audience identification
  10. Considerable skill working with creative or strategy teams to create and execute effective marketing campaigns.
  11. Considerable skill in project management with the ability to manage multiple complex projects and budgets simultaneously.
  12. Considerable skill in verbal and written communication skills.
  13. Considerable skill writing in digital and traditional channels.
  14. Considerable skill in thinking strategically and to scrutinize and optimize work based on data analytics.
  15. Considerable skill in developing and maintaining positive and professional relationships with internal and external customers
  16. Considerable skill in operating a personal computer, applicable software and peripheral equipment as well as learning and adapting to new and updated programs and technology.
  17. Ability to work a flexible schedule which includes days/evenings/weekends as needed by the department.

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  1. Considerable skill in digital marketing for higher education preferred.
  2. Google AdWords or analytics certification preferred.
  3. FB Blueprint certification or SEO certification preferred.

Essential Duties:

  1. Researches, plans and leads execution of digital marketing campaigns and solutions for brand awareness and student enrollment and events including paid search, email, paid digital advertising, mobile, streaming, retargeting, purchased lists, and website performance, and collaborating with organic social.
  2. Establishes key performance indicators to measure and improve return on investment for all digital acquisition efforts. In collaboration with web services, develop digital marketing analytics, and coordinate the development of tracking links within marketing campaigns. Collaborate with key members of the marketing and communication team and guides regular reporting on campaign performance and analytics.
  3. Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate student experience across multiple channels and touch points. Assist with audience segmentation and lead generation within campaigns and optimize campaigns.
  4. Key partner to help define user journey and driving digital assets to address consumer/institutional needs from discovery through to the point of acquisition
  5. Manage key vendor relationships to ensure maximum performance from purchased services and to track effectiveness
  6. Key collaborator on SEO strategy and execution to improve search results.
  7. Work closely with marketing and communications team to ensure work is driving measureable increases performance in relevant channels
  8. Writing on-brand, value-based content using appropriate tone and style within all digital and marketing mediums
  9. Serve as main point of contact and marketing advisor for assigned internal clients and at the institutional level. Research and develop marketing strategies at the department, division, and event level, making certain they integrate fully with institutional marketing strategy; create institutional-level marketing strategies; Devise mix of tactics and write marketing plan to support plan’s strategies.
  10. Project-manage the execution of all tactics resulting from numerous plans, through different stages of development.
  11. Write key messages that support overarching strategies and copy that supports key messages. Create concepts; write the messaging for tactics that range from simple ads to highly complex, multiple- page brochures and guides that convey/coordinate procedures and information from departments and offices throughout the college, as well as overarching institutional material.
  12. Maintains required training, licensure and/or certification
  13. Maintains confidentiality of privileged information and adheres to applicable privacy laws
  14. Demonstrates sensitivity, understanding and respect of diverse populations within the workplace.
  15. Maintains an understanding of the work of colleagues to effectively provide backup and/or support for co-workers during times when the division is short-staffed or experiencing an increased volume of work.
  16. Adheres to department guidelines for attendance and punctuality
