Assistant Professor - Communication Sciences and Disorders

The University of Houston seeks applicants for tenure-track assistant professor beginning September, 2021. Required qualifications include a Ph.D. in communication sciences and disorders or related field, evidence of the potential to develop a productive, fundable line of research, and evidence of the ability to teach effectively at the college level. Desired qualifications include postdoctoral experience, a promising record of scholarly activity, teaching experience at the college level, and clinical licensure (CCC-SLP). Applicants whose research focuses on phonological disorders or motor speech disorders are encouraged to apply; however, all areas in the field will be considered. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining an active and fundable research program, teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level, and participating in academic service. The candidate will be expected to contribute to our recently established PhD program in communication sciences and disorders.
