Visiting Professor Faculty Position in Environmental Engineering
The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Valparaiso University invites applications for a visiting faculty position in Environmental Engineering that will begin in January for the spring 2021 semester (https://www.valpo.edu/college-of-engineering/). Primary teaching responsibilities will cover three core courses: Environmental Sustainability, Environmental Toxicity and Risk Assessment, and Environmental Engineering II, which focuses on wastewater treatment and wastewater facilities.

Valparaiso University’s undergraduate-only College of Engineering offers an ABET-accredited BS Civil Engineering degree and a new BS Environmental Engineering degree. The first student cohort for our Environmental Engineering program enrolled in Fall 2019 and will graduate in Spring 2023. The College of Engineering at Valpo is currently ranked tied for 13th in Engineering Programs (non-doctoral) in the 2020 U.S. News Rankings. The successful candidate for the visiting faculty position will have a Ph.D. in environmental engineering, civil engineering or a closely aligned field. Consideration also will be given to applicants with an earned Master’s degree in environmental engineering or civil engineering. The successful candidate will possess enthusiasm for undergraduate teaching and the ability to interact and effectively communicate with students and faculty from diverse backgrounds.
