Assistant/Associate of Clinical

The Division of General Radiology in the Department of Radiology at UHealth, University of Miami Health System and the University of Miami Leonard Miller School of Medicine, is seeking fellowshiptrained neuroradiologist , CAQ certified or body imaging fellowship trained eligible candidates for a fulltime faculty position at the level of Assistant or Associate or Full Professor in the Clinical Educator track, given our planned expansion of services across the system. The University of Miami is the only large academic center in southern Florida, with a rapidly expanding regional footprint.

The successful applicant will join six radiologists with different sub-specialties interpreting from multiple University of Miami Hospitals and Clinics (UHealth) facilities. The UHealth System delivers leading-edge patient care by the region’s best doctors, powered by the groundbreaking research of the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine. As South Florida’s only university-based medical system, UHealth is a vital component of the community that is leading the next generation of health care. The candidate will also hold the Medical Director role at UHealth-Plantation. A separate job description will be shared at time of interview.

UHealth has a group of more than 1200 physicians and scientists, who collaborate to provide exceptional patient care, breakthrough research, and novel education to create an innovative approach to health care. In addition to the expanding regional footprint (with over 30 outpatient sites), the UHealth System is expanding its national and international/global care provided by our top ranked physicians. UHealth is home to the number one eye hospital in the United States, Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, and houses the only NCI-designated cancer center in South Florida, the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center.

The Division of General Radiology provides coverage to UHealth Tower and 5 satellite locations. There are multiple research opportunities in the department. Both junior faculty and more senior candidates with an academic record will be considered. Responsibilities include providing clinical services, consultation, conferences, trainee and student teaching, and engaging in research. Participation in institutional committees and professional organizations is also encouraged.

The potential candidate must have completed their radiology training and have passed the ABR core exam (or be ABR certified) as well as be eligible for an unrestricted Florida medical license. The ideal candidate for this position will have completed a fellowship in Neuroradiology with some amount of training and/or interest in advanced neuroimaging or fellowship trained in or Body imaging. The candidate should be eligible or CAQ’ed in Neuroradiology.
