At the undergraduate level, the Department of Economics offers B.A. and B.S. degrees in Economics. At the undergraduate level, the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics offers a B.S. degree in Agricultural Business Management.

The departments jointly manage a graduate program that includes a Master’s of Economics degree as well as a Ph.D. in Economics. Ph.D. fields of concentration include Agricultural Economics, Development and Labor Economics, Econometrics, Environmental, and Resource Economics, International Economics, Macro, and Monetary Economics, and Microeconomic Theory/IO.

Essential Job Duties:

The Department of Economics in the Poole College of Management and the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences invites applications for a tenured professor position at the full and named professor level in international, agricultural, and /or macroeconomics.

The expectation is that an appointee will engage in high-quality research resulting in publications in leading general interest and field journals. The appointee must also be an effective teacher at the graduate level, provide service to the department, college and university, supervisor Ph.D. students, and take on a leadership role in the Graduate Economics Program, which is a joint program between the Department of Economics and the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics.

Minimum Experience and Education:

Candidates must have a Ph.D., or equivalent degree, in the field, along with the potential to conduct distinguished research and provide outstanding teaching and service.

Other Required Qualifications:

Candidates must have shown the ability to publish research in high-quality peer-reviewed journals, to teach successfully at the graduate and undergraduate level, supervise Ph.D. dissertations to completion, and provide evidence that these activities will continue at a high level.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ideal candidates will have established a strong record of publication in high-quality peer-reviewed journals and have exhibited excellence in teaching and supervising graduate students.
