IIT is searching for a well-qualified candidate to join our vibrant and growing team as a High-Performance Computing (HPC) Facilitator (Working Title: Advanced Research Computing Facilitator). This position will act as a technical liaison with a scientific background to support a variety of research needs across multiple disciplines. Key responsibilities include assisting in advancing HPC capabilities and advocating for its beneficial use for the research community, work closely with the GSU high-performance computing user communities across the colleges and departments, to assess the needed programs and software environments for the users’ needs, and communicate what is needed with the other ARTIC team members.


The scope of responsibilities for this position will include these essential duties but is not limited to the following,

  • Developing and conducting training workshop to promote Advanced Cyberinfrastructure

  • Working collaboratively with faculty, researchers, and students from across a range of disciplines with varying leveling of technical expertise to facilitate funded computational research.

  • Working with ARCTIC leadership on funding endeavors, industry partnerships, etc.

  • Work with Advanced Computing staff to develop and maintain technical documentation, both internal (admin facing) and external (user facing)

  • Attend conferences and workshops relevant to HPC to advance skills.





QualificationsMaster's degree.
