Description:

The University of Florida College of Medicine - Jacksonville, Department of Emergency Medicine is recruiting motivated and energetic physicians to join our Faculty in our ongoing expansion of operations in Jacksonville and the greater Duval County area.  We are seeking emergency physicians to join our robust academic practice that includes clinical practice, teaching and research opportunities. Clinical opportunities include positions in general emergency medicine in both teaching and community sites, ultrasound, pediatric emergency medicine and critical care. Successful candidates will receive academic appointments as either a Clinical Assistant or Associate professor.  Qualified candidates must be ABEM/ABOEM board eligible or certified. 

UF Health is a 639-bed urban teaching hospital and Level 1 Trauma Center in downtown Jacksonville. Our emergency department includes a nationally recognized residency training program, pediatric ED, an award-winning emergency simulation center and a highly successful and active research division.  A full cadre of sub-specialty services are available to the over 80,000 patients who visit us each year. 

UF Health North is a 92-bed community hospital with 28 full service emergency beds. It has comprehensive radiology and laboratory services, along with consultation from all University of Florida specialty and sub-specialty services.   Open since 2015, annual patient visits are growing and already exceed 45,000 patient visits per year. The ED at UF Health North will be undergoing expansion in 2021. In addition, the Department of EM will be expanding to including two free-standing emergency departments in 2021-2022.

UF Health Urgent Care at Wildlight is a state of the art facility offering enhanced acute care services beyond those of typical urgent care.  Supported with advanced medical imaging capabilities (CT/US), full on-site lab, and staffed by EM trained faculty, this facility is the first of its kind for the communities of Nassau County and north Duval County.

Qualified candidates must have MD/DO and be ABEM/ABOEM board eligible or certified.
