Job Summary


Job Statement: The Program Assistant is responsible for assisting with contacting new external partnerships with community, faith based and non-profit organizations to support program goals. This is a relatively new position and offers a unique opportunity for a motivated individual who is invested in being part of the rapid growth of DAA.

Required Qualifications
    Currently a Clayton State University student.Laker ID.Resume approved by Career Services. This is a requirement prior to applying for student positions.

Ability to work independently, multitask and connect with diverse populations; network with community groups; hospitals; pharmacies; health providers and city, county and state agencies. Team player, creative thinker and Exceptional communications skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Ability to provide own transportation.

Required Qualifications

Major Responsibilities/Duties:

1. Connect DAA with new community partnerships to support program goals and outcomes.

2. Connect with local physicians to bring awareness of diabetes education classes and establish program referrals.

3. Participate in the implementation of program initiatives with fellow staff members.

4. Assist with program evaluation and reporting.

5. Assist with maintenance of required program statistics for DAA and other funders.

6. Assist with enrollment of eligible participants in the Medical Assistance Program and process associated invoices.

7. Other duties as assigned.
