The Division’s clinical programs include high-risk obstetric care, perinatal consultation, prenatal diagnosis, ultrasound, genetic services, invasive fetal therapy and perinatal outreach. Division members actively participate in student and resident teaching and provide subspecialty training for six Maternal Fetal Medicine fellows through its ACGME approved fellowship program.

The Department is currently ranked third nationally in NIH funding, with six federally funded investigators within the Maternal Fetal Medicine Division. This academically oriented Division has an outstanding record of epidemiologic research and is one of the participating institutions in the NICHD Maternal-Fetal Medicine Units Network (MFMU). The Department also has an active Women’s Reproductive Health Research (WRHR) Career Development Program. Biomedical and public health graduate programs offer extensive opportunities for collaboration in basic science and translational research.

Opportunities and resources for career development are abundant, whether in clinical leadership/quality and safety, medical education or clinical/translational research. We seek to increase diversity among our group so that a full spectrum of races and ethnicities are available to our students and our patients. In support of our commitment to reproductive justice, we are seeking candidates with a commitment to anti-racism and health equity for birthing people with high-risk pregnancies.
