The Registrar’s Office provides support services to faculty, staff, students and other constituents in the areas of academic programs and degree requirements, course scheduling, enrollment, degree
verification, graduation, athletic eligibility and maintenance of student academic records, as well as handles state and federal

Position Overview

This position is responsible for coordinating various aspects of registration, transcript production, student records, reporting, and records maintenance. Duties include providing outstanding customer service to stakeholders, data entry, and data auditing. The person in this position is the primary contact for record updates for readmitted undergraduates, particularly updating degree audits, recreating former paper records to electronic in EIS, articulating work force credit courses to UNT academic courses. Reviews various student record processing discrepancy reports for all continuing students and assists with transcript processes and graduation/degree conferral.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate’s Degree and one year of office administration experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Skill in telephone etiquette and courteous communication with public, verbally and in writing.
• Ability to evaluate facts or situation to route calls/customers appropriately.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Basic MS Office skills.
• Skill in the operation of a variety of office machines including, personal computers, telephones and copiers, filing and recordkeeping, English composition, grammar, spelling and punctuation and basic math.
• Knowledge of standard office policies and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Quality customer service skills, responsible, dependable, and professional.
• Previous experience working in a higher education setting.
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Products.
