Essential Job Duties:

This job is for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position working on multifunctional ceramic materials, especially on their electromagnetic (EM) property at high temperatures and extreme environments. Specific tasks include the modeling/design/fabrication/characterization of:
• EM transparent or absorbent materials
• engineered EM structures (metamaterials, frequency selective surfaces)
• antenna for remote sensing
• conformal microwave devices

Responsibilities will include:
• journal paper publications
• training and supervising graduate/undergraduate students
• lab management

Monday-Friday 8 AM-5 PM; Hours may vary

Department Required Skills:

Requires a doctor’s degree in Electrical and computer Engineering. The project needs expertise from ECE background therefore the degree in ECE is required.

Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education:

Prior experience in metamaterial design and antenna design are required. Excellent writing skills are required.
