Princeton University

Two Postdoctoral Research Associate Positions in the Adamson Lab in the Lewis-Sigler Institute for Integrative Genomics at Princeton University The Adamson lab in the Lewis-Sigler Institute for Integrative Genomics and the department of Molecular Biology at Princeton University seeks two applicants for Postdoctoral Research Associate or more senior research positions. The anticipated start-dates are December 1st or later. Appointments are for one year, with possibility for renewal pending satisfactory performance and continued funding. The Adamson Lab uses genomics to understand how human cells coordinate protective responses to stress and damage. Current work in the lab is focused on two areas: (1) understanding the mechanisms of genome editing, and (2) understanding how cancer cells grow and respond to treatments. To approach these questions, we take advantage of recent advances in high-resolution functional genomic approaches, including CRISPR screening technologies, genetic interaction mapping, and single-cell RNA-sequencing. Currently, we seek two motivated and collaborative experimentalists to contribute to independent (and funded) projects. The first project is focused on developing and improving genome editing technologies. The second is focused on performing high-resolution genetic analyses of patient-derived cells. The successful candidate(s) will design innovative experimental systems, conduct experiments, and analyze the generated data. Work on both projects will incorporate cutting-edge genomics technologies and present opportunities to work closely with computational scientists and/or a local biotechnology company. Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent in a related field and a strong track record of productivity are essential qualifications. Previous experience with CRISPR-Cas technologies and / or functional genomics is a major plus. More information on the Adamson lab (research and publications) is available at https://www.badamsonlab.com Applications must be submitted online at https://www.princeton.edu/acad-positions/position/18301 Applications should include a curriculum vitae that includes a list of publications, a brief statement of research interests and goals, and the names and contact information for three references. If you have any questions about the position, please email Dr. Britt Adamson at badamson@princeton.edu These positions are subject to the University's background check policy.
