Handles all main office traffic and requests for information, directions and problems. Assists faculty, staff and graduate students with technology issues (photocopiers, fax machine, computers).

Serves as the Purchasing Rep for the Department of History. Enters requisitions in OMNI, tracks purchases and receives items in OMNI. Handles all purchasing change orders and confirming POs if needed. Serves as departmental P-Card holder. Keeps track of the office supply inventory and orders supplies as needed.

Gathers textbook order information from instructors and enters orders in Student Central database each semester. Maintains contacts with book company representatives and textbook managers. Orders exam copies and desk copies for instructor use.

Assists faculty in the preparation of binders for their Second and Fourth-Year Review, Teaching Awards, and Promotion and Tenure, to include the collection and reproduction of all required material. Creates and maintains job application files for faculty searches.

Serves as editor for the department annual newsletter. Creates and distributes newsletter to faculty, staff, graduate students and alumni. Creates a schedule for makeup exams each semester. Maintains department's SharePoint site and online calendar on department’s website.Qualifications High school diploma or equivalency and two years' experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to two years. Note: Higher education can substitute for experience at the equivalent rate.

Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite or or comparable software.

Experience in an office setting and knowledge of office practices.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously and meet project deadlines.Preferred Experience working at an academic institution.

Experience with FSU's OMNI database, including SpearMart.

Four years of experience in an office setting.Anticipated Salary Range High $20,000s.Pay Plan This is an USPS (University Support Personnel System) position.Criminal Background Check This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check.
