Office hours: USC’s core business hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Staff may be required to participate in events as assigned which may require occasional nights or weekends.

The South Carolina Honors College is seeking a positive and energetic person with excellent communication and organizational skills to join our team. The Coordinator of Student Services is the point of contact for Honors College students, parents and faculty, providing information and serving as a resource for concerns or inquiries. This person is charged with the operation of the student services office including managing the internal honors student database, producing the honors curriculum, and coordinating all aspects of student records (including matriculation and graduation, generating reports, auditing, and GPA probation). As a staff member in the Honors College you will be part of a dynamic, driven and passionate community dedicated to serving high achieving students. Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)

Masters degree and 1 year related experience, or bachelor’s degree and 3 years related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Banner, Degree Works, and Self-Service Carolina. Some knowledge of USC policies, procedures, and programs is preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Applicants must have the ability to function in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The successful candidate will be well organized, have excellent written and oral communication skills, be able to deal diplomatically with various constituent groups, be proficient in Microsoft Office Software (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and have some experience with databases (Filemaker, SQL, or similar). The successful candidate will have the ability to supervise, train and evaluate personnel. Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret information accurately are critical.
