Regular Full-time, Pay Grade 42
Research Associate II position in the Department of Mechanical, Aerospace & Biomedical Engineering.
Position Available Immediately and Open until Filled
Provides support for research projects, is able to lead research studies, knowledge to include an indepth understanding of Kane’s dynamics, must be able to write computer code in Autolev, Matlab, C++ and VTK, experience with deriving 3D kinematics using fluoroscopy and 3D-2D imaging, developing mathematical models of the human body to determine mechanics, utilize and further enhance vibration and acoustic analyses to detect sound in the human body during articulation, 3D ultrasound and conduct theoretical and experiemental research. Will conduct theoretical and experimental testing in Dr. Komistek’s research lab. Will prepare reports to sponsors, give podium presentations and write publications. Must be willing and able to travel domestically and internationally to collect data for research studies.


Qualifications
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Experience:
Masters in Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering or related field and pursuing a Ph.D degree in Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge in Kane’s Dynamics, Fluoroscopy, 3D human vibration, 3D mathematical modeling, 3D ultrasound, 3D imaging and statistical analyses, vibration and acoustic analyse of the human body.
