The Department of Mathematics at the University of California, Los Angeles, invites applications for a (tenure-track) faculty position. A competitive candidate should have a transformative research program and show excellence in teaching. Applicants from all fields of mathematics will be considered, but we give preference to candidates whose research area has a connection to any of the existing research groups at UCLA or candidates that could take a leadership role in our evolving programs in Financial/Actuarial Mathematics or in Data Theory. Candidates must have a Ph.D. degree (or equivalent) or expect to complete their Ph.D. by June 2021.
