Job Description Summary:

Husson University’s New England School of Communications is looking for a part-time adjunct faculty member to teach VF 100 Intro to Video Production. This course introduces students to the world of video and digital filmmaking. Students learn the basic skills needed to create high end, broadcast quality video, including shooting, non-linear editing, gathering professional audio, continuity, composition, and workflow management. This course will run from 1/25/2021 – 5/7/2021

Duties and Responsibilities:

•Provide students proper instruction with content to achieve programmatic outcomes in the various courses to be taught.
•Assign and oversee multiple field and post productions at an introductory level
•Accurately track and assess student progress and maintain Husson University standards
•Advising the Academic Director on proposed curricular changes
•Assisting the department in experiential assessments & exercises where appropriate
•Assist in the research and assessment of industry trends and future technologies concerning curriculum
•Additional Responsibilities:
oGathering data and preparing detailed documents
oRepresenting the School off campus when appropriate
oServing on committees, as appropriate
oPerforming other duties as assigned by the administration

Education and Experience:

Education:
Masters Degree Required. MFA preferred.

Experience:
At least 1-3 years of work experience in related field.
College level teaching experience preferred.
