Job Description

The College of Arts & Sciences is seeking applications from qualified candidates for part-time, non­tenure-track adjunct faculty positions in the Criminology/Criminal Justice Program. Specialization is open, but experience with online and hybrid instructional formats is preferred. Applicants will be contacted according to departmental needs. Teaching assignments may include day, night, or weekend classes. Flexible to suit course schedule.

Required Qualifications:

- Master's degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or related field from a regionally accredited institution.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Criminal Justice, Criminology or related field from a regionally accredited institution.
• College or University teaching experience.
• Experience teaching online and hybrid formats.
• Familiarity with non-traditional commuter University setting.
• Experience in culturally diverse settings.

This position is open until filled.

Finalists will be required to provide three current, original letters of recommendation and original transcripts to the Department Chair, Dr. Durant Frantzen (email:dfrantze@tamusa.edu.)

Prior to issuing a letter of appointment, official transcripts must be received directly from each degree-granting institution. We cannot accept transcripts issued directly to the candidate. If transcripts are from an international institution, it is the responsibility of the prospective faculty member to have the transcripts translated and evaluated by an approved credential evaluator.
