Job Summary:

Assist in providing a safe, functional, and pleasant environment for all users of campus facilities. Facilities Specialists are responsible for the daily cleaning of the college, both routine cleaning and project cleaning as assigned.

Reports To:

Director of Facilities and Facilites Coordinator

Education/Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge of MSDS procedures and other Federally mandated safety practices.

Possess a valid Wyoming driver’s license

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Ability to read, understand and follow core values

Possess a positive attitude

Knowledge of cleaning methods, techniques, materials and equipment

Knowledge of applicable college, state and federal regulations, policies and procedures

Understand facilities safety and security protocol

Knowledge of MSDS

Customer service standards and procedures

Interact properly with students, faculty and staff

Understand, follow and enforce safety procedures

Working knowledge of computers

Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing

Work as a team member in a cooperative work environment

Safely use cleaning equipment and supplies

Perform a variety of custodial and cleaning tasks

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Ability to work on a ladder and work overhead

Various in/outdoor environments; exposure to dust, dirt, fumes and chemicals

About Northern Wyoming Community College District:

Gillette College is located in Gillette, WY, the county seat of Campbell County. Located midway between the Big Horn Mountains to the West and the Black Hills of South Dakota to the east. Responsibility/Duty:

Vacuum and shampoo carpets and rugs; sweep, mop, refinish various types of floors with correct and compatible products. Wash walls, woodwork, and windows. Provide soap, towels and tissue in clean restrooms. Dispose of waste and litter.
