Job Description:

Grant Management:

Request and consolidate and combine base inputs and data into quarterly and annual grant reports, including impact statements of military youth programs. Correspond with bases and extension professionals working with military installations about opportunities, grants and related items that may be of interest to the military community. Collaborate on any military related grant submissions including RFA, budget preparation and report submissions including Military Partnership Grant. Process invoices and maintain records of grant financial transactions. Respond to information requests from base personnel. Attend monthly military partnership grant meetings.

Program Delivery:

Plan, organize, schedule and conduct a variety of program activities and events for military youth and staff. Serve in a training role for volunteer leaders by providing them with program ideas and materials. Teach groups of adults and youth utilizing prepared curricula. Prepare demonstration materials to aid in the presentation of classes. Examples are: print materials, visual aids, or power point presentation. Attend local, district, and state activities and events in place of or with the County Extension Agent, as requested. Answer email, phone and social media questions about 4-H Military Programs.

Planning:

Plan and prepare lessons and materials. Continue to improve knowledge of subject matter and teaching methods. Participate in program section meetings.

Travel:

Travels according to 4-H youth development policy. Travel includes taking youth to county, district and state events. Travel to conduct programming. Assists agent with processing travel.

Administration:

Assists with volunteer reference checks, fingerprinting and level 1 and level 2 screening. Update 4-H website/social media. Purchase supplies as needed.

Performs other duties as assigned by Natural Resources Agent/CED

Part-time (30 hours/week) until grant funds used

Expected Salary:

$17/hour

Pay Range Based on Market:

(Annualized)

Lower reference point: $ 31,320 Midpoint: $ 38,100 Upper Reference point: $ 45,700

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent

Valid Florida driver license

Preferred Qualifications:

Effective written and oral communication skills.
Skill in the preparation of clear and precise administrative reports.
Experience working with diverse youth and adult audiences.
Skill in planning and teaching a variety of programs and events.
Knowledge of military community
Knowledge of 4-H policies and procedures.
Knowledge of records management principles.
Knowledge of program financial management procedures.
Ability to operate a computer and copier/printer and knowledge of computers & job-related software.
Skill in analysis of problems and the development and implementation of solutions
