Job Description:

-Office Support
• Provide primary phone coverage for the Division of Infectious Diseases and Global Medicine’s inpatient consult request line, track and assign consults to the appropriate attending/fellow on service, confirm receipt of requests and consolidate daily/monthly consult counts
• Collect patient information from referring physician/service and confirm information is entered into EPIC. Ensure on-call schedules (Division Excel & Access spreadsheets, SPOK, etc.) for multiple consult services are updated and accurate, this includes both attending and fellow coverage
• Facilitate evening/weekend phone transfer to answering service and retrieve electronic messages the following business day
• Assist in ad hoc reporting and analysis of the IP clinical operations

-Fiscal Management
• Coordinate travel arrangements, including but not limited to scheduling flights, making hotel reservations, registering for conferences as directed
• Create detailed itineraries for travel events with all relevant information and provide to faculty or staff prior to travel
• Collect and provide all travel receipts and information to the Division’s Fiscal Processor for payment and/or reimbursement or to sponsoring agency if travel is funded from outside sources

-Website Management
• Manage and maintains the divisional website
• Ensure that content is updated regularly and work with faculty and staff to make requested updates and create pages

-Division Support Duties
• Responsible for managing divisional meeting calendars and assisting faculty in ad hoc meeting requests
• Assist with faculty evaluations and faculty promotion, tenure, and mid-cycle review packets

Expected Salary:

$15-$16 /hour

Pay Range Based on Market:


Lower reference point: $ 31,320 Midpoint: $ 38,100 Upper Reference point: $45,700

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent and one year of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:High level of professionalism and acumen is also necessary for the individual to effectively make decisions, complete assignments of a moderately complex nature with minimal supervision, and set their own priorities. A strong understanding of basic computer operations and knowledge of Microsoft Office is requisite. An understanding of medical terminology is desirable as well.
