Salary Information$14.00 per hour
Job SummaryPerform secretarial and/or office support to the Science, Engineering, Math & Social Sciences (SEMSS) department. Fridays 7:30 am – 4:00 pm, a second 8 hour shift on a weekday that the candidate picks and either a third day for four hours or a third day for 8 hours if filling in for one of the other administrative assistances. This position will not work in the summer.
Essential FunctionsGreet and screen office visitors and callers; handle routine matters and refer more complex matters to the supervisor or appropriate staff. Schedule and make arrangements for appointments, meetings, and activities. Prepare, proof, and process documents; organize and maintain files and records. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required QualificationsHigh school graduate or equivalent. One year of clerical or general office experience. Strong communication skills. Customer service skills. Ability to interact effectively, courteously and impartially with diverse populations. Knowledge of current software applications such as Microsoft Office.
Desired QualificationsExperience in an educational institution. Post-secondary education. Knowledge and experience with database management and spreadsheets including excel. Banner experience.
