Job Summary

Georgia Institute of Technology’s School of Public Policy is seeking applications for a visiting faculty position in energy and environmental policy effective January 1, 2021. The faculty rank will be determined commensurate to the candidate's experience. This visiting faculty opportunity is a one-year appointment, which can be renewed for an additional academic year contingent upon satisfactory performance and funding availability. This is a full-time position with eligibility for benefits.

The candidate will be expected to teach two courses each semester, to actively engage in research and scholarly activities, and to participate in service to the School, College, and Institute. The visiting faculty member will teach courses on energy and environmental economics and policy, renewable energy and regulatory policy, and environmental and energy management. The position supports the masters and doctoral programs in the School, particularly the newly created Master of Sustainable Energy and Environmental Management.

Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have a Ph.D. in public policy, economics, management, public administration, or related fields. An earned doctorate is required before the start of the appointment and a background check must be completed prior to employment.
