The Temple University School of Dentistry isseeking a qualified and motivated self-starter Credentialing Coordinator for atleast a 1-year period with the potential for a longer commitment dependent uponneed.

Primary responsibilities will be working withthe Office of the Dean to assist in the credentialing of current and newfaculty of the school. This will include meeting with faculty to obtain allnecessary credentialing information, preparing documentation to be submitted tothe CAQH database insurance companies, and working directly with contactindividuals with each insurance company to identify and correct any mistakes orproblems during the credentialing process.  In addition, the CredentialingCoordinator may assist with other functions as assigned by the Dean or hisdesignee. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

At least 5 years’ experience in medical and/ordental credentialing including experience working with CAQH Proview. Anequivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills and Abilities:

*Must possess a high degree of proficiency inthe performance of clerical functions and exercise a great deal of tact anddiscretion in handling sensitive situations.

*Must be able to work with a diverse populationof students, faculty, staff, and patients and their families. 

*Strong interpersonal skills and the ability todeal effectively with a large and diverse population in the handling ofsensitive issues by telephone and in person. 

*Excellent written and verbal communicationskills.

*Excellent customer services skills with thedemonstrated ability to calmly handle various patient complaints, problems, andquestions.

*Demonstrated ability to structure workindependently, maintain detailed records, and demonstrate good judgment. 

*Excellent organization with the ability to multitask,prioritize work, and make independent decisions for non-complex issues. 

Preferred:

*Experience submitting applications to obtain PAMedicaid assistance provider numbers. 

*Bilingual Spanish/English.

This position requires a background check.
