Credentialing Coordinator

DescriptionThe Temple University School of Dentistry is seeking a qualified and motivated self-starter credentialing coordinator for at least a 1-year period with the potential for a longer commitment dependent upon need. Primary responsibilities will be working with the Office of the Dean to assist in the credentialing of current and new faculty of the school. This will include meeting with faculty to obtain all necessary credentialing information, preparing documentation to be submitted to the CAQH database insurance companies, and working directly with contact individuals with each insurance company to identify and correct any mistakes or problems during the credentialing process.  In addition, the Credentialing Coordinator may assist with other functions as assigned by the Dean or his designee.

 

At least 5 years experience in medical and/or dental credentialing including experience working with CAQH Proview. Preferred experience submitting applications to obtain PA Medicaid assistance provider numbers. An equivalent combination of education and experience maybe considered.

 

Position requires good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively with a large and diverse population in the handling of sensitive issues by telephone and in person. 

 
Individual must be able to structure work independently, maintain detailed records, and demonstrate good judgment. 

Must possess a high degree of proficiency in the performance of clerical functions and exercise a great deal of tact and discretion in handling sensitive situations.

 

Preferred Bilingual Spanish/English.

 Must be able to work with a diverse population of students, faculty, staff, and patients and their families.

 Must have good written and verbal communication skills.

 Excellent organization and interpersonal skills

 Excellent customer services skills with the demonstrated ability to calmly handle various patient complaints, problems, and questions
